Doug Daykin, Owner of Daykin Imaging, has an extensive printing background dating back to the 1970’s when he was serving as an apprentice working for Master Printer, Ray Hitchcock, printing posters and fine art prints in the Silicon Valley.
After spending several years learning from Ray, he decided to retire and encouraged Doug to open his own shop. This endeavor was RoadWay Photograpy & Graphics. With Doug’s photographic and printing skills in place he went on to print rock and roll posters, wedding invitations, greeting cards and oh yes and a few business cards when he had to pay the rent.
As time passed his passion moved more towards photography, and finally into the silkscreen end of image reproduction. In 1986 he designed his first of six shirt designs for a line of racquet sport t-shirts and soon after that purchased a silkscreen shop in Aptos, Ca. It took a few years, but his efforts paid off and now has built his very own facility located on his property at the base of the Corralitos foothills, The view alone makes the few extra miles traveled well worth it.
His new shop is fully furnished with
state of the art equipment and a crew that know how to use it.
